About Memory Match

Memory Match is the classic card-flipping concentration game: every card starts face down, and clicking two at a time reveals them briefly. Find a matching pair and they stay face up; two different symbols flip back over after a moment, and the game continues until every pair has been found.

Three difficulty levels change the size of the board rather than the rules — easy is an 8-pair board good for younger players or a quick round, medium is a solid everyday challenge, and hard's 18 pairs takes real concentration to track. Your best moves and best time are saved for each difficulty separately, so improving on medium doesn't affect your hard-mode record.

Everything runs in your browser with no download and no account. Your best scores are saved locally on your device so they're there next time you visit, but nothing about your play is uploaded anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a "move"?

Each pair of cards you flip over counts as one move, whether or not they match. Fewer moves means you're remembering card positions more efficiently.

Does the timer count time spent thinking?

Yes — the timer starts on your first flip and runs continuously until the last pair is found, so pauses to think are part of your time.

Are best scores tracked separately per difficulty?

Yes — easy, medium and hard each keep their own best-moves and best-time record, since a fair comparison only makes sense within the same board size.

Can I play on a phone?

Yes — tap a card instead of clicking, and the board resizes to fit smaller screens.
