Days-to-harvest is a range, not a promise. Weather, soil and sunlight all shift it. Some crops (like tomatoes and peppers) count from transplanting, not from seed — check your packet if the timing feels off.

About this days-to-harvest tracker

Log each planting with a crop, an optional label (useful for telling apart multiple beds or rows of the same crop), and a planting date. Choosing a crop from the built-in list of 26 common vegetables and herbs fills in a typical days-to-harvest range automatically, or you can enter your own minimum and maximum days directly for a variety not on the list.

Every active planting shows its own countdown: how many days until it enters its expected harvest window, whether it's currently inside that window and ready now, or how many days it's run past the window if harvest has been delayed. A progress bar gives a rough visual sense of how far through the expected growing window each planting currently sits, so a glance at the card tells you more than just a date range would. The full list sorts itself automatically so whatever's coming up soonest appears at the top, no manual reordering needed as you add more plantings through the season.

Days-to-harvest is a range, not a promise — weather, soil conditions, and available sunlight all shift the real timeline earlier or later than the average. A few crops (tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, and cauliflower among them) count their days from transplanting rather than from seed, which is worth keeping in mind if the countdown feels off compared to your seed packet's own timeline.

Your plantings are saved automatically on this device; nothing is uploaded anywhere, and you can keep logging new plantings all season without losing track of what's already growing.

Frequently asked questions

Does days-to-harvest count from seed or from transplant?

It depends on the crop. Several entries on the built-in list (tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, eggplant) count from transplanting rather than from seed — check your seed packet if the countdown here feels off.

Can I track a crop that's not on the built-in list?

Yes, choose "Custom / other crop" and enter your own minimum and maximum days-to-harvest directly.

What happens when a planting goes past its harvest window?

Its card switches to an overdue state showing how many days past the expected window it is, as a nudge to check on it, though many crops hold reasonably well a bit past their window.

Why is my harvest later than the range shown?

Days-to-harvest is an average range, not a guarantee. Weather, soil conditions, and available sunlight can all push the real timeline later (or earlier) than the typical window.

Is my planting log saved or uploaded anywhere?

It's saved locally on this device automatically. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
