Row & Stitch Counter
A row and stitch counter for crochet, knitting, and cross-stitch, with multiple saved projects, undo, and optional sound and vibration.
About this row & stitch counter
Keep track of rows and stitches for crochet, knitting, or cross-stitch without losing your place, even across several projects at once. Tap "+1 Row" after finishing each row, use the small plus and minus buttons to track stitches within a row, and switch between saved projects using the tabs at the top — each one keeps its own row count, stitch count, and undo history completely separate from the others.
Set a target row count for a project (a sleeve length, a pattern repeat, a whole project) and a progress bar and countdown appear automatically, so you always know how much further there is to go. The small stitch "swatch" below the counters builds a simple visual row-by-row as you go — not a substitute for your actual fabric, but a satisfying, at-a-glance sense of progress that's easy to check without hunting for your literal knitting or crochet in progress.
Made a mistake? Undo reverses your most recent change to either counter, up to 100 steps back per project. Optional sound and vibration feedback confirm each tap without needing to look at the screen, useful for counting by feel while your eyes stay on your stitches.
Up to 12 separate projects can be tracked at once, each with its own name, color, counts, and target — useful for anyone working on more than one thing at a time, or picking a project back up after a break without losing track of where they left off.
Your counts are saved automatically on this device as you go; nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track more than one project at once?
Yes, up to 12 projects, each with its own row count, stitch count, undo history, and target. Switch between them using the tabs at the top.
What does Undo actually undo?
Your most recent row or stitch change for the currently active project, up to 100 steps back. Each project keeps its own separate undo history.
What happens when I reach my target row count?
The progress note switches to a "target reached" message, along with a sound and vibration if those are turned on. Leave the target blank if you don't want to track one.
Do I need sound or vibration turned on?
No, both are optional and off by default. Turn them on if you find it helpful to confirm a tap without looking at the screen.
Is my count saved if I close the tab?
Yes, everything is saved automatically to this device as you go, so it's still there next time you open the tool. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
