A certificate works the same way whether it's recognizing a student's reading milestone, a Little League team's season, an employee's work anniversary, or a family member's personal achievement — a name, a reason, who it's from, and a date, presented cleanly enough to be worth framing or handing over in front of a room. This tool covers all of those uses equally; nothing here assumes a classroom specifically.
Five color themes are available, each changing the border and accent color while keeping the background a light, ink-friendly cream rather than a heavy solid fill — a certificate is something people often print in some quantity (a whole class, a whole team), so keeping the background light matters more here than it would for a one-off document.
The certificate title has common presets — achievement, excellence, completion, participation, recognition, attendance — or you can type anything you like instead, since "Employee of the Month" or "Best Sibling Ever" are just as valid a use as a classroom award.
Landscape is the traditional certificate orientation and the default here, though portrait is available if you prefer it or need to fit a specific frame or binder.
Nothing you type is uploaded anywhere; the certificate is generated entirely in your browser, and nothing is saved between visits, since a certificate is usually a one-time creation rather than something you'd want pre-filled with old details the next time you open the tool.
The award seal beside the signature lines is drawn as a small vector shape rather than an image file, so it stays crisp at any print size and automatically recolors to match whichever theme you choose, instead of being a fixed graphic that only works with one color scheme.

Which paper size and orientation should I use?
Landscape is the traditional, most common certificate orientation and is the default here. Both A4 and US Letter are supported in either orientation.
Is my certificate information saved anywhere?
No, nothing is uploaded or saved between visits. Since a certificate is typically made once for a specific occasion, the fields reset to their defaults each time you open the tool.
Will this print at the correct size for my paper?
Yes, as long as your print dialog is set to 100% scale or "actual size" rather than "fit to page," which some printers default to and which would shrink or stretch the layout slightly.
