User Persona Profile Builder
Build a one-page UX or marketing persona — photo, quick facts, goals, frustrations, motivations and quotes.
About this user persona profile builder
A persona earns its keep by making an abstract "target user" into someone specific enough that a team can ask "would Priya actually want this?" instead of arguing about assumptions in the abstract. This tool builds a one-page persona sheet with the core structure most UX and marketing teams already use: a name and one-line tagline, an optional photo, a handful of quick facts, goals, frustrations, motivations, and a few representative quotes.
Quick facts are entered as Label: Value, one per line, so you can include exactly what matters for this persona — role, life stage, years of experience, location — and skip anything that does not. Goals and frustrations print as simple bullet lists; keeping each to a handful of specific, concrete items reads far better on the page than a long vague list, and reflects how real personas are meant to work — a few sharp points beat many soft ones.
Motivation sliders are the one visual flourish here: describe a spectrum as Left label | Right label | position, for example Budget-conscious | Premium-focused | 30, and it prints as a small marked bar rather than another bullet point — a quick, skimmable way to show where a persona sits on a trait without writing a paragraph about it.
Add a photo if you have one to use, or leave it blank for a plain placeholder — either way the layout holds together. Preferred channels and tools print as a row of small tags, useful for showing at a glance where this persona actually spends their time and attention.
Everything is generated in your browser and saved locally between visits. Nothing you type or upload is sent anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
How many goals and frustrations should I include?
Three to five of each is the usual sweet spot — specific and concrete beats a long list. If everything feels equally important, that is often a sign the persona itself needs narrowing.
How do motivation sliders work?
Each line is Left label | Right label | position, where position is a number from 0 (all the way toward the left label) to 100 (all the way toward the right label). For example Cautious | Adventurous | 75 places the marker most of the way toward "Adventurous".
Can I use a real customer's photo?
Personas are usually built from patterns across several real users rather than representing one specific person, so a stock photo or illustration is generally more appropriate than an actual customer's photo — get informed consent first if you do want to use someone's real photo and likeness.
Is this a lightweight persona or a full research-backed one?
This is the sheet you fill in with what you already know or have researched — it does not do the research itself. Whether it counts as a quick proto-persona or a fully research-backed one depends entirely on the interviews, surveys or data behind what you type into it.
My accent colour or sliders are not printing
Look for a "Background graphics" or "Print backgrounds" option in your print dialog and switch it on — some browsers strip colours from printed pages by default.
