These sheets exist to keep that in one place, on paper, in the drawer where you will actually look for it.
Four sheet types cover the usual needs. The repair and maintenance log records what was done, when, by whom and what it cost. The appliance and warranty record keeps model and serial numbers alongside purchase dates and warranty expiry, which is the information a manufacturer asks for and nobody has ready. The tradespeople sheet is a directory of people you would happily call again — genuinely valuable once you have found a good plumber. The seasonal checklist tracks recurring upkeep with columns for when each task was last done and when it is next due.
The seasonal checklist arrives pre-filled with around twenty tasks that apply to most homes: testing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, clearing gutters, servicing heating and cooling, bleeding radiators, checking seals and drains, cleaning dryer lint traps and extractor filters. Edit it freely — the right list depends on your climate, your building and whether you have a garden, a loft or a garage. The pre-fill box works on any sheet type, so you can use it to list your own appliances or rooms rather than writing them out by hand every time.
Columns are editable on every sheet type, with |2 or |3 after a name to make that column proportionally wider. As with the other record sheets here, you set the row height and the page fills with as many rows as physically fit rather than silently cutting rows off the bottom — and if your pre-filled list is longer than one page holds, it says so instead of quietly dropping the last few tasks.

Are the seasonal tasks right for my home?
They are common tasks that apply to most homes, not a definitive list. Climate, building age, construction and whether you have a garden, loft or garage all change what matters — treat it as a starting point and edit it. Anything involving gas, electrics or working at height is worth leaving to a qualified professional.
What is the pre-fill box for?
It fills the first column of each row with your own list — recurring tasks, your appliances, rooms, or anything else you would otherwise write out by hand every time you print a fresh sheet. Rows beyond your list stay blank.
My list is longer than one page
The tool tells you how many entries fit and how many are left over. Reduce the row height, use landscape, trim the page margin, or print a second sheet for the remainder.
Should I record serial numbers on paper?
Serial and model numbers are what warranty claims and insurance need, so they are worth having. Bear in mind a completed sheet is a list of what is in your home and what it is worth — keep it somewhere sensible rather than on the fridge, and consider a photo backup stored securely.
My shading and borders are not printing
Look for a "Background graphics" or "Print backgrounds" option in your print dialog and switch it on — some browsers strip them by default.
