A timesheet only works if the dates are right, so this tool fills them in for you. Pick a period — weekly, fortnightly, semi-monthly or a whole calendar month — give it a start date, and every row is labelled with the correct date and weekday. Monthly sheets take their length from the actual month rather than a fixed 30 rows, so February gets 28 days and 29 in a leap year without you having to think about it.
Choose the columns your workplace actually uses: a break or lunch column, a notes column for job numbers or tasks, and a split-shift option that gives two separate in/out pairs for anyone working mornings and afternoons with a real gap in between. Weekends can be shaded so they are easy to skip at a glance, and a totals row and signature lines for the worker and supervisor can be switched on or off.
Because the period fixes how many rows the sheet needs, the row height adapts rather than the row count: you set a preferred height and the tool uses it if it fits, or shrinks it just enough to keep everything on a single page. A monthly timesheet that quietly ran onto a second sheet would be worse than useless for payroll, so it will always tell you what it did.
Dates are formatted the way you choose — day/month, month/day, or an unambiguous "31 Jul" — which matters on a document that may be read in a different country from where it was filled in. This is a recording sheet rather than a payroll calculator: hours are totalled by whoever fills it in and signs it, which keeps the sheet honest about being a paper record rather than implying an authoritative calculation.

Frequently asked questions
Does the monthly option handle February and leap years?
Yes. Monthly sheets use the real length of the month containing your start date, so you get 28 rows for an ordinary February, 29 in a leap year, and 30 or 31 elsewhere.
Why did my row height change on its own?
The period sets how many rows are needed, so if your preferred height would push the sheet onto a second page it is reduced just enough to fit, and the tool tells you. Use landscape or a smaller margin if you want taller rows.
What is the split shift option for?
It gives two in/out pairs per day, for anyone who works a morning block and an afternoon block with a genuine break between them rather than a single continuous shift.
Does it calculate total hours or pay?
No — it prints a blank total row for whoever completes the sheet to fill in. It is a paper record, and a printed sheet that appeared to have done its own arithmetic would invite people to trust a number nobody actually checked.
My shading and borders are not printing
Look for a "Background graphics" or "Print backgrounds" option in your print dialog and switch it on — some browsers strip them by default.
