About this Hangman game
A secret word is chosen from your selected category; guess letters one at a time using the on-screen keyboard. A correct guess reveals every occurrence of that letter in the word at once — guessing "a" in a word with three As fills in all three. An incorrect guess adds a part to the drawing, and six wrong guesses ends the round.
Four categories keep repeat games varied — Animals, Countries, Food & Drink, and a General mix — each with a good range of word lengths so no two rounds feel quite the same.
Wins and losses are tracked across your session and saved locally on your device, so your record is there next time you visit. Nothing you play is uploaded anywhere.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if I guess a letter that appears more than once?
Every occurrence of that letter in the word is revealed at once — guessing "e" in a word with two Es fills in both, and it only counts as one guess.
How many wrong guesses do I get?
Six — the drawing builds up one part at a time with each wrong guess, and the sixth ends the round.
What happens if I lose?
The full word is revealed so you can see what it was, and the keyboard locks until you start a new word.
Can I change categories mid-game?
Yes — switching categories starts a fresh word immediately from the new category, without affecting your win/loss record.
